CE - Night out at the Karaoke

My first illustration for 2017 - in the middle of July, and I only got back into drawing only because of a contest that was hosted by the fan club Nintendo-Girls.

The contest theme for the fan club was Girls' Night Out, and after many days of brainstorming, I finally settled on a Night out at a Karaoke (Singing) Bar.

So here are Nintendo icons Samus Aran (Metroid), Princess Peach (Super Mario) and Princess Zelda (The Legend of Zelda) having a casual, yet elegant night out at a Karaoke Bar somewhere in Toad Town. Princess Peach is taking her turn here singing Big Mountain's "Baby I Love Your Way" while Samus and Zelda look on. Judging by their quotes, Samus isn't too fond of Peach's singing here...

And these ladies will eventually get their time singing at the Karaoke...

Done with Inktense and coloured pencils on paper, with some editing done in Photoshop. I gave my all despite some fumble-ups with the loudspeakers.
